What is a Graduate Certificate?
A UC Berkeley Graduate Certificate(link is external) is a structured sequence of courses that focuses on a specialty or area of expertise not offered by a regular degree program. Certificates are designed to complement a student’s regular degree program. Upon graduation, those completing the program will receive an official certificate and the certificate will be noted on the students’ official transcript.
When should I apply?
Students are encourage to apply as soon as possible, even if they delay taking their first course. Students must apply by the semester before they plan to graduate.
Can I petition to include a project oriented course not listed on the webpage?
