The undergraduate programs at the Berkeley School of Education are grounded in the latest research on interdisciplinary learning sciences, social policy and human development, and in the craft of teaching, inquiry, and design. Students study how learning unfolds across early childhood programs, K–12 schools, community and afterschool environments, higher education, and digital and AI-mediated learning environments. They develop both pedagogical and research capacities to design, investigate, and advance human learning in diverse contexts.
We offer a Bachelor of Science in Educational Sciences and a minor in Education. For students not enrolled at Berkeley, we offer a non-degree certificate in Education during the summer called Educating for the 21st Century.
