The information below is for graduate students and employees of the School of Education who want to reserve space on the 4th floor of Berkeley Way West (BWW). Be sure to read all policies and procedures, including the Tutorial, before reserving a room or event space.

Undergraduate students (individuals or groups) are not permitted to reserve space at BWW and can consider renting space through UC Event Services.

Event Policies

Please carefully review the relevant policy in advance of planning an event.

The BSE’s use of Berkeley Way West is governed by space use policies set by UC Berkeley. The BSE’s Student Events Policy and Staff Events Policy are designed to ensure an equitable and orderly process for graduate students and staff seeking to use meeting rooms and classrooms.

These policies govern how BSE community members may initiate and plan for ad hoc or new events within BWW that are not for courses or routine business. In addition, the policies include an overview of the steps required to host an event and are the best starting point in the event planning process.
