Mayra Reyes joins the Leadership Programs as a Project Specialist with a background and and commitment focused on global education in bridging language acquisition, STEM, and design thinking in diverse educational environments. Prior to her teaching experiences abroad, Mayra spent one academic semester studying abroad in Mexico City while learning more about her family history and taking classes at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). During her time in Mexico City, Mayra has been motivated by the assiduous professors who are committed in becoming agents of change in and outside the classroom.
Her passion in international education, language acquisition, and STEM continues as she delves deeper into creating bridges between diverse communities and connecting with others through multilingualism and multiculturalism within our communities here in the U.S. and abroad.
