As a PLI, LSP, and most recently LEAD Cohort 1 alum, Melissa Virrueta joins the 21CSLA team with a research-practitioner background focused on educational equity, with particular interests in special education leadership and advocacy, and disrupting notions of difference as disability. She has spent the last 11 years in PreK–12 as a school psychologist, special education administrator, and site administrator. She brings a wealth of experience as a special educator, mental health professional, and research practitioner to support the 21CSLA mission.
