Stacey Blankenbaker

Stacey Blankenbaker is the Coordinator for the Educational Leadership Learning Accelerator (ELLA), an executive education program that serves educational leaders at local, national, and international levels. Stacey brings extensive experience in building partnerships to advance education and health equity. Before joining UC Berkeley’s School of Education, she spent much of her career in Bay Area school districts, most recently as the College and Career for All Coordinator at Oakland Unified School District. In this role, Stacey oversaw the implementation of a parcel tax that funds college and career pathways for all district high schools and ten charter schools.

Prior to her work at OUSD, Stacey led a collaborative effort of San Francisco Unified and the City of San Francisco to develop, implement, and scale Wellness Centers across the district’s high schools. She has also coordinated community partnerships for early childhood programs in the San Mateo-Foster City School District and led educational support for children experiencing homelessness in Santa Clara Unified School District. Additionally, Stacey spent five years with the San Francisco Department of Public Health, where she led the implementation of Trauma-Informed Systems, an organizational change effort adopted by city departments and local nonprofit organizations.

Early in her career, Stacey had the opportunity to work internationally in El Quiché, Guatemala, where she contributed to an initiative promoting bilingual Spanish/Mayan education in indigenous communities.
