Araceli Vazquez

Araceli Vazquez is a Master’s Degree and Administrative Service Credential candidate in the 25th cohort of the Principal Leadership Institute at UC Berkeley’s School of Education. Her academic interests in education include biliteracy, multiculturalism and community engagement.

With eight years of dedicated service in the field of education, Araceli has established a reputation as a passionate and highly effective bilingual educator. Specializing in dual-language instruction, Araceli has consistently demonstrated a commitment to fostering inclusive, engaging, and academically rigorous learning environments for students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Throughout her career, she has taught across various grade levels, skillfully adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to meet the evolving needs of English learners and native Spanish speakers alike. Currently, she teaches a vibrant group of second graders at Washington Elementary School in West Contra Costa Unified School District.

Araceli is an immigrant from Mexico and a first generation college student. She received her B.S. in Ethnic Studies from University of California, Berkeley. She earned her teaching credential and Master’s Degree in Education from University of San Francisco in partnership with San Francisco Teacher Residency.

Outside of her professional life, Araceli enjoys staying active through regular exercise and cherishes quality time with her two children and husband.
