The Educational Leadership Learning Accelerator provides leadership coaching designed to support and sustain equity-conscious leaders in public schools and systems. Using the Coaching for Social Justice and Equity model designed by UC Berkeley Leadership Programs, our coaches individualize leadership development to help participants realize their full potential as social justice leaders. The model, which includes four core components—core beliefs, ways of being, knowledge and capacity, and skills and practice—employs a coaching cycle focused on building trust, exploring identity and positionality, and leveraging a developmental asset-based perspective to translate theory into practice.
We offer tailored coaching support at two levels:
-
Alumni Coaching | Available to graduates of PLI, LSP, or LEAD, this option provides continued one-on-one coaching beyond program enrollment. Alumni often take advantage of coaching during transitions to new roles, team leadership changes, or to strengthen specific equity-centered leadership skills. Coaching is available for 20 to 60 hours per year at a reduced rate.
-
Coaching Initiative | Designed for practicing school and system leaders, as well as emerging leaders, this program offers 20+ hours of coaching including attendance at relevant district meetings or guidance on achieving specific leadership goals.
Why choose Accelerator coaching?
