How do I view my bi-weekly vs monthly paid employees?

  1. Login to Caltime
  2. On the left top corner choose either biweekly pay. period approval or monthly pay period approval.
  3. Select the employee you want to view.
  4. On the right side click on timecards.
  5. Select the pay period at the right of the timecard or select a range of dates by clicking on the calendar.

How do I correct a missed punch?

  1. The employee should ask the supervisor to remove his/her approval, and the supervisor does so
  2. The employee should remove his or her approval (if any), make the desired edits, and re-approve the timecard
  3. Then the employee should ask the supervisor to re-approve the timecard

How do I see my employees’ vacation and sick accrual?

  1. Login to Caltime  https://caltime.berkeley.edu/home
  2. Highlight your employees name and press enter.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the handle.
  4. Vacation and sick time will appear in the drop down.

How do I View the Compliance Status of your Direct Reports?

  1. Login to The Learning Center
  2. Click on Manager dashboard
  3. Click in incomplete to see what training remains (see "How to View an Individual's Report")

How do I correct a missed punch for my employee prior to the pay period deadline?

Within the current pay period, a missed punch can be corrected by doing the following:

  1. Login to Caltime
  2. Select the correct time period.
  3. Select the row for the date you want to add time or change the missed punch enter the time in the cell. If adding or deleting use the + sign or the minus sign on the left side of row you are changing.
  4. Click Save. Note: Please remember to add a or p for AM or PM. Acceptable formats include 8a or 8:30a.
If the missed punch is not corrected prior to the deadline, a manual timecard must be filled out.

How do I log my hours worked if I have multiple jobs?

  1. Click on the in the blank box under Transfer column.
  2. A list of available jobs will appear based on jobs you have previously selected. However it is best practice to select search at the bottom of the list and a new Transfer window will appears
  3. Click on Job Drop down arrow. Your entire list of jobs available to you will appear. Click on applicable job and click “Apply”.
  4. The job, contract or grant will appear in the “Transfer” field.
  5. Then click on the “Save” button. Note: The Save icon will change colors to prompt you to save your edit.
